How long will my battery last?

Your battery, what you run, and we tell you how many hours or days it will last before dropping to its limit.

What you run

Watts are averages: a fridge doesn't run all the time. Add what's missing under “Other”.

Down to empty: about 8.9 h. But a lead battery drained below 50% wears out fast.

You have devices on outlets: we count the inverter (about 20 W when on, and 10% losses).

Your lead battery gives a bit less than its label at such a high current: that's included.

How long to recharge it afterwards?

How we calculate

  • Usable energy: voltage × Ah × number of batteries, from its current level down to its limit (50% for lead-acid and AGM, 10% for lithium).
  • What you draw: the sum of average watts. For devices on outlets, we add the inverter's losses and what it uses just being on.
  • Lead batteries give less when you draw hard (Peukert effect): we account for it.
  • These are estimates for batteries in good shape, at room temperature. In the cold, a lead battery gives less.
